Help for anxiety and fear
Many people suffer unnecessarily with problems that can be easily and effectively treated with hypnotherapy. Anxiety and stress, panic attacks, fears and phobias, lack of confidence and low self-esteem are common examples. Hypnosis can also help people to stop smoking, or achieve and maintain weight loss. You are treated as an individual
Because every client is an individual, this website can only give a general impression of how hypnotherapy might be able to help you. Each client is different. When you first get in touch by phone we discuss your problem and how hypnotherapy could help. We then spend a good part of the first session — either at Harley Street, London, or Guildford, Surrey — seeking to understand your particular problem in more detail. We discuss how the problem began, how it affects you now, and what impact it has on those around you. We then agree what you can expect to achieve from therapy.

I then create a personalised therapeutic strategy tailored to your situation and the goals you want to achieve. Many clients achieve the solutions they want within three therapy sessions.

My main qualifications
My main clinical hypnotherapy qualification is a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the Brief Strategic Therapy Foundation, London.

I am an academic rather than a medical doctor, with a Ph.D in Psychology from the University of Birmingham.

I am also a Senior Lecturer and tutor on the Diploma in Higher Education in Clinical Hypnosis at St Mary’s University College, Twickenham.

Safe, natural and effective
Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural and effective approach to solving emotional problems and helping you achieve your goals. Hypnosis is a way of reaching states of mind that are already familiar to you in everyday life, such as in daydreaming or being absorbed in a good book. These states allow access to the unconscious mind, where each of us holds a wealth of unconscious resources that can be used for self-healing. Hypnotherapy enables you to gain access to these inner resources and use them to create a healthier, more helpful and more balanced approach to the problems that you face. Hypnotherapy can produce effective and long-lasting solutions in a few sessions.
